Using Direct Solar Energy Conversion in Distillation via Evacuated Solar Tube with and without Nanomaterials

As is widely known, the issue of freshwater scarcity affects practically all people, and are looking for innovative workable ways to attempt solve this issue. In work, a novel method desalination proposed. The proposed system consists solar collector (PTSC), evacuated pipe (EP), condenser (CU), separation unit (SU). working principle heating feed saline water using PTSC EP controlling flow rate control output conditions EP. produced vapor therefore separated from salty SU. addition, generated steam condensed into CU produce distillate. Consequently, effect radiation on affecting temperatures was tested. different rates (6, 7.5, 10, 20, 40, 60 L/h) inside productivity investigated. primary findings work may be highlighted in relation experiments conducted. At midday, when ultraviolet irradiance reached its highest, EP’s entrance outflow had largest temperature differential. lower EP, higher temperature, evaporation system, greater system. 6 L/h, water’s highest 92 °C. Moreover, best performance obtained at 7.5 where production average daily effectiveness distillate process were 44.7 L/daytime 59.6%, respectively. well, augmented by around 11.86% graphite nanoparticles. Additionally, distilled operating L/h costs 0.0085 $/L.
